The Social Planning Council of Kingston & District (SPC) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization and registered charity, which has operated in Kingston since 1930.

Vision
The Social Planning Council of Kingston and District envisions Kingston as an inclusive community striving to be civically engaged, socially responsible, economically and environmentally sustainable, respectful of diversity, and supportive of positive change.
Mission
To collaborate in the realization of this Vision, the Social Planning Council engages the community to enhance the social, cultural and economic well-being of the whole community.
SPC will do this by:
Identifying the social, economic & cultural needs of the community;
Profiling the social resources, assets, and issues in the community to empower others to take action;
Advocating on social and economic policy and planning issues;
Bringing people together to create solutions for social challenges; and
Incubating organizations that have a strong social purpose.
